Daniel Elroi has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of geospatial systems integration, asset management, and GIS consulting. Daniel is currently working as the Asset Management Program Manager at Tepa Companies since 2021, where they focus on maximizing the value of NSGIS, a company they founded and successfully brought into Tepa ownership. Daniel aims to provide infrastructure and facility owners with expertise, services, and products for strategic asset management.
Prior to Tepa Companies, Daniel worked at NSGIS (NorthSouth GIS LLC) from 2005 to 2021. Daniel held multiple roles, including the Asset Management Program Manager and the President & CEO. As the President & CEO, they led NSGIS, a geospatial systems integration company catering to sea ports, airports, local government, and water utilities. NSGIS specialized in Esri technology and was based in Los Angeles, California.
Before NSGIS, Daniel founded Elroi Consulting, Inc. in 1998. As the President of the boutique GIS software development consulting firm, they provided custom solutions based on Esri technology to various clients, including government agencies, companies in the pipeline and mining sectors, and software companies. Daniel'sservices included applications development, business consulting, technical documentation, and training.
Daniel's career also includes their time as the GIS Manager at Knight Piesold from 1991 to 1998, where they managed a GIS consulting business unit within an international mining services engineering and environmental firm. Daniel worked on projects related to mining, real estate, pipeline, and nuclear waste management.
Additionally, they worked as a GIS Programmer at Plangraphics Inc. in 1990 and as a GIS Analyst at the City of Los Angeles from 1986 to 1989. At the City of Los Angeles, they played a role in deploying and promoting the use of Esri's ArcInfo software at the Department of City Planning.
