Ben Newton

Ben Newton has extensive work experience in the field of electrical engineering. Ben is currently employed as a Principal Engineer at Teradyne, a position they have held since May 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Instrumentation Laboratory, A Werfen Company, where they served as a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer from March 2017 to May 2022. Before joining Instrumentation Laboratory, Ben worked at Oracle for over 17 years in various roles, including Hardware Architect, System Technical Lead, and Principal Hardware Design Engineer. Ben was responsible for the development of system-level architecture and hardware design for SPARC servers. Ben started working at Oracle in June 2000 and left in March 2017. Prior to Oracle, Ben worked at Sun Microsystems, Inc. as a Hardware Sustaining Engineer from June 2000 to December 2004. Ben provided engineering support for server-class machines and played a key role in resolving customer escalations and improving engineering processes. Ben's career began as an intern at PowerSmart, where they worked on developing custom test fixture hardware and battery management systems for Hybrid Electric Vehicles. Ben held this position from May 1998 to September 1999.

Ben Newton attended Silver Lake Regional High School from 1992 to 1996. Ben then went on to pursue a BSEE degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, graduating in 2000.
