Mercedes Gibson

Mercedes Gibson is a dynamic leader with extensive experience in program management and coaching, currently serving as a Senior Program Manager at The Greenlining Institute, where a transformative accelerator program was successfully launched to support Black, Latino, and immigrant-led small businesses. In addition to this role, Gibson is an Executive Coach for Gratitude Network, serves on the California Minority-Owned Small Business Task Force, and acts as a Board Member for the Black Support Network. As the Founder of Mercedes Gibson Coaching, the focus is on closing the racial and gender wealth gap through culturally relevant coaching for women of color. Gibson has held various roles, including Economic Equity Strategist for the City of Oakland and Small Business Manager for Hack the Hood, with a strong commitment to empowering underrepresented communities through entrepreneurship and education. Educational credentials include a Next Economy MBA and multiple coaching certifications, supporting a strong foundation in positive psychology and leadership development.
