Cathleen Rocco

Cathleen Rocco has over 10 years of experience in the field of intellectual property law. Cathleen is currently working as the Director of Legal Intellectual Property at Terns Pharmaceuticals since 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Intellectual Property at BlueNalu from 2021 to 2022. Cathleen also worked as Of Counsel at Plant & Planet Law Firm from 2020 to 2021 and at Hoban Law Group from 2019 to 2021. In 2008, Cathleen founded Grow IP Law, where they served as the Founder and Principal until 2021. Cathleen gained industry experience as a Patent Counsel at Zogenix, Inc. from 2015 to 2018 and as a Patent Prosecution Attorney (Contractor) at Thompson Coburn LLP from 2014 to 2015. Cathleen began their career as a Patent Scientist at Monsanto Company, specializing in Yield and Stress, from 2011 to 2013.

Cathleen Rocco holds a J.D. degree in Law from Golden Gate University, School of Law. Cathleen also has an M.S. degree in Physiology and a B.S. degree in General Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Prior to that, they attended Oak Park & River Forest High School. In addition, they have certifications as an Attorney from the State Bar of California and as a Registered Patent Attorney from the USPTO.
