Adrian Jonson

Adrian Jonson has a diverse work experience in the field of monitoring and surveying, spanning over 25 years. Adrian began their career as a Professional Land Surveyor at Young Stuart & Associates, where they worked on various projects across Africa. Their responsibilities included GPS networks, power line route selection, photogrammetry control, and cadastral surveys.

In 2001, Adrian joined Site Engineering Surveys Limited as the Monitoring Manager. Adrian successfully managed the operations of the department, overseeing a team of 50+ people. Adrian also conducted research, designed monitoring systems, and managed their implementation. Additionally, they procured subcontractors, managed resources, and analyzed data for presentations.

In 2015, Adrian moved to OPTRON (Pty) Ltd as a Business Development Consultant. Their role involved promoting and developing Deformation Monitoring and Infrastructure systems and products throughout Africa. Adrian specialized in advising and implementing manual and automated data collection methods for structural and geotechnical monitoring.

From 2020 to 2022, Adrian served as a Deformation Monitoring Specialist at Terramotus (Pty) Ltd. During this time, they honed their expertise in deformation monitoring and contributed to the company's success.

Currently, Adrian Jonson holds the position of Managing Director - Africa at Terra Insights, starting in 2022.

Adrian Jonson completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Land Surveying at the University of KwaZulu-Natal from 1991 to 1995. Furthermore, they obtained a certification as a Professional Land Surveyor from the South African Council for Professional and Technical Surveyors in 1997.
