Robotics Engineer at TerraClear

Alex Lin has worked in various roles in the technology industry since 2018. In 2018, they worked as a Computer Vision Engineer at Advanced Robotics at the University of Washington. In 2020, they were a Machine Learning Research Team Lead at Micro-AV and a Robotics Research Intern at the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering. Alex then worked as an Autonomous Driving Software Engineer at Bluebox in 2021, where they designed and implemented IPC framework for CAN communication for self-driving cars, modified and tested openpilot on custom hardware, and debugged CAN communication to control steering actuator and drive-by-wire system on a Toyota Prius. Currently, they are a Robotics Engineer at TerraClear Inc, where they handle perception and localization related robotics development and implements sensor fusion with RTK GPS and Visual Odometry to do object localization down to cm grade accuracy.

Alex Lin attended the University of Washington from 2018 to 2022 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science.
