Spacecraft Thermal Engineer at Terran Orbital

Ryan Herberg has a diverse work experience, including their most recent role as a Spacecraft Thermal Engineer at Terran Orbital Corporation since June 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Thermal Engineer for the Roman Space Telescope at Aerodyne Industries LLC from September 2022 to April 2023, at Lentech, Inc. from August 2021 to September 2022, and at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center from June 2021 to August 2021.

Ryan also gained experience as a Member of the Mission Design Team at Purdue Orbital from September 2020 to September 2021, where they spearheaded thermal analysis and simulation for a CubeSat project. Additionally, they worked as a Programming Counselor at TIC Summer Camp from May 2020 to August 2020, teaching programming and computer science to students of different age groups.

In their earlier career, Ryan served as a Delivery Driver at Deli Italiano from December 2018 to August 2019, and as a Club Waiter at River Bend Golf and Country Club from June 2017 to August 2018, where they handled various serving responsibilities and assisted in event planning.

Ryan Herberg attended Langley High School from 2016 to 2019, but did not earn any specific degree or field of study during that time. From 2019 to 2023, they pursued a Bachelor's of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering at Purdue University College of Engineering. Finally, from 2023 to 2024, they obtained a Master's degree in the same field of study from Purdue University - The Graduate School.
