Edward Nakitare

Edward Nakitare is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in remittances and payments across the African financial landscape. Currently serving as the Head of IMT at KCB Bank Group since June 2023, Edward is responsible for the cross-border payments strategy. In the role of Regional Manager for Eastern & Southern Africa at TerraPay since November 2021, Edward oversees commercial interests and fosters collaboration among various financial institutions. Previously, Edward held managerial positions at Equity Bank Limited, where responsibilities included driving cross-border remittances growth and developing innovative outward remittance solutions. Edward's career also includes roles at Instant Cash Global Money Transfer, Chase Bank Kenya Ltd, and a foundation experience with the Ministry of Tourism. Edward holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Tourism from the University of Nairobi and is pursuing a Master of Arts in Development Studies at The Catholic University of Eastern Africa.
