Dave O'Brien

Dave O'Brien has over 30 years of work experience in the field of user experience (UX) design and research. Dave has held various roles in different companies, starting with their current position as Principal UX Designer at the Tertiary Education Commission since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a UX Designer at New Zealand Trade and Enterprise from 2021 to 2022.

Dave has also worked in several contract roles, including as a UX designer/researcher and information architect at Davanti Consulting from 2016 to 2021, and as a UX Designer/Researcher at Kiwibank from 2016 to 2017. Dave has experience in running customer research projects and designing web UIs.

In their earlier career, Dave worked as a Senior Experience Designer at Optimal Experience from 2007 to 2015.
