Thomas Erskine

Thomas Erskine has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Thomas started their career as an Application Developer at Harper Macleod LLP in 2000. Thomas then joined Vascutek in 2001, where they held multiple roles, including Support Analyst and IT Manager. In 2018, Thomas joined Terumo Aortic as the Head of Information Security and IT Operations, and concurrently served as the Head of ICT Security at Terumo Europe. Thomas has extensive expertise in IT operations, information security, and software development.

Thomas Erskine began their education journey in 1994 at the University of Strathclyde, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Physics. Thomas completed their undergraduate studies in 1997. Following this, in 2000, they enrolled at the University of the West of Scotland and obtained a Postgraduate Diploma with Distinction in Information Technology with Software Development in 2001.

In terms of additional certifications, Thomas obtained the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification from Microsoft in January 2001. Later, in January 2017, they obtained the IT Information Library Foundations Certification (ITIL) from EXIN your ICT competence partner. Additionally, they achieved the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification from EC-Council in September 2019 and the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in November 2019. Finally, in May and June 2020, they attained the ZCCA-IA and ZCCA-PA certifications respectively, from Zscaler.
