Carlos Ortega

Carlos Ortega is an accomplished professional in the cardiovascular medical device industry, currently serving as Vice President of Global Product Development at Terumo Cardiovascular since March 2021. Prior to this role, Carlos held various positions at Endologix Inc from 2014 to March 2021, including Senior Director and Director of Research and Development. Carlos's career also includes significant experience at Medtronic from 2005 to 2014, where roles ranged from Senior Product Manager to R&D Engineering Supervisor. Carlos began the professional journey at Cordis Corp., a Johnson & Johnson Company, as a Cardiovascular & Neurovascular Device Engineer between 2000 and 2004. Carlos holds dual MBA degrees from Columbia Business School and the University of California, Berkeley, both earned in 2009, along with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Miami, obtained in 2000.
