Yinan Wang

Yinan Wang is a highly skilled engineer with extensive experience in mechanical design and engineering, currently serving as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Tesla since June 2025, focusing on the mechanical and thermal performance of Megapack 3 battery modules. Previously, Yinan held the position of Principal Mechanical Engineer at ENOVIX Corporation from July 2021 to July 2024, where a significant mechanical redesign of battery fabrication processes led to a yield rate improvement exceeding 60%, alongside conducting over 20 experiments that enhanced material selection and cell design through comprehensive analyses. Early career experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at Stanford University from September 2013 to December 2019, where Yinan initiated a new research direction in battery technology, securing $5M in funding for the development of multifunctional batteries. Yinan holds a PhD and two Master's degrees from Stanford University in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, and Management Science and Engineering, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto.
