Job description

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, or Finance with 3 or more years of accounting experience in corporate accounting, including the following areas: month/quarter end close, fixed assets, G&A/R&D accruals, accounts payable, and T&E
  • Active CPA license and Big 4 Accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with SAP and Coupa strongly preferred.
  • Biotech industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Financial ERP and system implementation experience a plus.
  • Self-Starter: Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly engaged startup environment.
  • Supporting SAP implementations for new functions and improvements rollout.
  • Supporting the monthly close and year-end close process.
  • Performing monthly account reconciliations as assigned to analyze, review, research and resolve discrepancies.
  • Identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining systems, policies and procedures to promote appropriate internal controls, best practices and efficient and cost-effective processes.
  • Performing SOX controls and reconciliations related to various areas of accounting processes as assigned.
  • Supporting external auditors on audit deliverables.
  • Identifying, recommending, and championing process improvements to the current processes and systems within the finance department by performing the tasks first-hand to gain a thorough understanding of the topic and content.

You are an energetic, skilled individual who can perform excellently in all aspects of Accounting Operations. As a member of the Accounting Operations team, you collaborate with other Accounting team members and cross functionally (i.e. FP&A and Strategic Sourcing) to ensure accurate and timely posting of all Tessera transactions, reconciliations of account balances, and robust controls of accounting processes. You have gained technical skills in a similar environment previously and can provide strategic leadership, work processes, optimization, and good operating practices.
