Daniel Holohan

Daniel Holohan has a diverse work experience in the fields of corporate development, strategy, market research, and academia. Daniel currently works as an Associate Director of Corporate Development at Tessera Therapeutics, where they aid in the development of corporate strategy, business development, and investor relations for their Gene Writing technology. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Manager of Strategy at Tessera Therapeutics, where they played a significant role in the development of their Gene Writing technology. Before joining Tessera Therapeutics, Daniel worked as a Senior Associate at Clarion | A Life Sciences Consultancy, where they evaluated diseases and technologies, conducted primary market research, and engaged with clients across divisions to guide product rebranding and competitor responses. Daniel also led firm-wide initiatives, such as evaluating applicants for a leadership training workshop. Daniel has academic experience as well, having worked as a Graduate Student at UCSF, where they studied the role of peripherally-derived Tregs in autoimmune pathology, and as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Pittsburgh, where they assisted with teaching and grading. Daniel also gained research experience at the Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS).

Daniel Holohan attended Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology from 2005 to 2009. Daniel then went on to pursue Dual Bachelor's Degrees in Neuroscience (BS) and Molecular Biology (BS), as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy (BA) at the University of Pittsburgh from 2009 to 2013. Daniel later obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biomedical Sciences (Immunology) from the University of California, San Francisco, from 2013 to 2019.
