Hassana Oyibo, PhD, has a diverse work experience in the field of biomedicine and therapeutic research. Hassana started their career as a Research Associate at OSI Pharmaceuticals Inc in 2006, where they focused on the validation of potential targets for halting non-small-cell lung cancer epithelial–mesenchymal transition. Hassana then joined Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in 2007 as a Doctoral Student, where they conducted their research until 2013. Following this, they worked at the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research as a Postdoctoral Researcher and later as the Viral Vector Core Lead Scientist from 2014 to 2022. In 2022, they joined Ring Therapeutics as a Senior Scientist and subsequently moved to Tessera Therapeutics in 2023, where they currently serve as the Associate Director of Synthetic Biology.
Hassana Oyibo PhD obtained a Bachelor's degree in Bioscience from SUNY Farmingdale in 2005-2006. Hassana then pursued their education at Stony Brook University from 2000 to 2004, majoring in Biology. Subsequently, they attended Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory from 2007 to 2014, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Neuroscience and Molecular and Systems Neuroscience. Additionally, they have certifications in Intermediate R and Introduction to R from DataCamp.
