Chris Whellams has worked in the technology industry since 1995, when they started as an Analyst Programmer at Speedwing Logica. Chris then moved to Sungard as a Lead Developer in 1997, followed by Morgan Stanley as a Senior Developer in 1999. In 2000, they joined Credit Suisse First Boston as an Assistant Vice President and worked in Equity Cash Trading, Equity Capital Markets and the Derivatives IT teams. In 2004, they became Director of Innova Associates, specializing in banking IT systems development, derivatives & FX trading systems, back & middle office, and database design and implementation. In 2006, they joined QPR Software Oyj as a Senior Business Consultant, working with the QPR platform and Qlikview. In 2008, they became Product Manager at FIM Asset Management, responsible for firm wide market data, analysis & internal systems. In 2013, they became CTO and Director IT Development at Nord Pool, the largest physical power exchange in Europe. In 2018, they joined Tesseract Investment as a Technology Consultant & Software Architect and CTO & Co-Founder, designing and developing the WhaleLend platform, the first crypto currency savings account. In 2019, they joined F-Innova Associates Oy as Director, providing C-Level advisory & consulting for Digital & Data transformation, technology, program management, cloud, digital customer engagement, and operational excellence.

Chris Whellams attended The University of Sheffield from 1991 to 1995, where they obtained a 2.1 degree in Electronic Engineering with Computing.
