Gianluca d'Ottavio has had a diverse range of work experiences. In 2018, they co-founded frisck AR-social App and worked as a designer. In 2020, they worked as a visual designer for MINI and as a media designer for the World Food Programme. In 2021, they became a co-founder and CMO of Theta, an interaction designer at the Parco archeologico del Colosseo, and a branding and media design professor at IED Istituto Europeo di Design.

Gianluca d'Ottavio attended the Istituto Europeo di Design from 2017 to 2020, where they pursued a degree in Interaction design with a focus on Graphic Design, UX and UI, and web Design. Prior to that, they attended the Liceo scientifico "A. Romita," but no specific degree or field of study is mentioned. In terms of additional certifications, Gianluca obtained the DELE B1 certification from the Instituto Cervantes in July 2011. Gianluca also obtained a B2 English certification from the British School Group, although the exact date of acquisition is not specified.
