Position summary

To support and accelerate our growth, Texada is seeking a Sales Engineer candidate to join our sales team. As a Sales Engineer, you will help design and present interactive demos of the Texada product portfolio to active and prospective customers. We are looking for dynamic and ambitious individuals with a demonstrated history of excellence who want to work alongside a world-class team of subject matter experts, sales and marketing professionals, and technologists to improve the future of heavy equipment rental and dealers. This position reports to the VP of Sales Engineering and collaborates with team members from Product, Sales, Marketing and the Implementation team

Work location and travel

  • Hybrid / remote work location (Office located in Mississauga, ON)
  • Travel - 10% and up to 15% some months

How you will be contributing

  • Gain subject matter knowledge in Texada’s core domain (heavy equipment dealer and rental companies).
  • Partner with our Marketing and Sales teams to develop precise and interactive demos of the Texada platform and consistently iterate on the demos by incorporating internal and external feedback.
  • Develop expertise in configuring customer-facing demos across Texada’s core solution areas, and present these demos to active and prospective customers.
  • Create best practices for demo configuration and presentation, and develop internal training and consistency guides to improve the entire team’s sales performance.

What we are hoping to find in your background

  • 3+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering or solutions engineering roles
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly understand the capabilities and breadth of the Texada product portfolio.
  • Domain expertise in the heavy equipment space.
  • Exceptional oral communication skills, with the ability to present compelling and persuasive demos to heavy equipment dealer and rental executives.
  • Strong collaborative skills and the ability to excel in cross-functional environments working across different internal disciplines including Product, Marketing, Sales, and Implementation.
