Justin Adams has a diverse range of work experience in the field of disaster response and unmanned systems. Justin has served as a Technical Information Specialist for the Boone County Fire District, where they contributed expertise in disaster response and recovery operations. Justin also took on the role of Task Force Leader for Disaster Situation Assessment & Reconnaissance (DSAR) and was a member of the FEMA sUAS Working Group.

Justin Adams has a history of education in civil engineering and homeland security. Justin attended Murray State University from 1990 to 1995, majoring in civil engineering. In 2020, they enrolled at Sam Houston State University and is expected to graduate in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Homeland Security.

In addition to their formal education, Justin has obtained various certifications and training in different fields. Justin holds an FAA Pilot Certificate with over 1500 hours of experience in multiple types of aircraft, including UAS, fixed-wing, and rotary. Justin is a Kentucky 400 Hour Certified Firefighter and has achieved various leadership positions such as Type III Logistics Section Chief, Type III Planning Section Chief, and Type III Resource Unit Lead within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
