Marie Chuang

Marie Chuang is an experienced community leader and emergency response educator with a longstanding commitment to public safety and resilience. Since March 2011, Chuang has held multiple roles at the Central County Fire Department, including Community Emergency Response Team Instructor and Board Chair. Additional roles include serving as a director for the San Mateo County Transit District and as a board member for the Samaritan House of San Mateo County. Chuang has also engaged in various educational initiatives, including Wilderness First Aid and training for cyber attack preparedness. In local government, Chuang has a history of service as a Councilwoman, Mayor, and Vice Mayor for the Town of Hillsborough. Chuang's educational background encompasses trainings from FEMA and Wilderness Medical Associates International, alongside participation in the Leadership of San Mateo Foster City Burlingame Hillsborough program.
