Johanna Evans

I spent almost 20 years at Driscoll Children's Hospital in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. During that time I was a bedside nurse, transport nurse, unit educator, clinical coordinator, manager and director. I also spent about a year on a mother-baby unit at Bay Area Medical. I have 3 years pediatric home health experience. I have volunteered a week a summer for 7 years at campCAMP for adults and children with special needs and have recently accepted a contract position for the summers to be the head nurse from mid May to mid August and one weekend a month from September through May. I have about 2 years experience teaching pediatric clinical for Del Mar College as an adjunct. I started as an adjunct clinical instructor for TAMUCC in the fall of 2011 and taught leadership clinical through summer of 2012. I started as a full-time faculty as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the fall of 2012. I have taught health assessment lab, med surg 2, med surg 1, transitions, pediatrics, Accelerated BSN, psych, community and leadership clinical, I have co-coordinated the leadership course Fall 2013 and in Spring 2014 I taught Management and Organizational Behavior for Health Sciences.
