Kara O'Callaghan

Kara O'Callaghan is an experienced attorney currently serving as an Assistant Attorney General at the Texas Attorney General's office since April 2019. Previously, Kara held the position of Associate Attorney at The Cusic Law Firm, P.C., specializing in family law and mediation from January 2017 to March 2019. Kara also worked as an ADR Fellow at South Texas College of Law Houston, where responsibilities included conducting mediations and assisting in mediation training. Earlier experience includes roles as a law clerk at the Law Office of Ross De Paul, where Kara managed client probate matters, and at Regent & Associates, focusing on debt collection and civil litigation research. Kara's legal career began as a paralegal at Stewart Title and included a judicial internship with the Massachusetts Trial Court. Kara holds a Juris Doctor degree from South Texas College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies and Political Science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
