Phillip Smith

Phillip Smith has extensive military and legal experience, currently serving as a Colonel in the United States Army Reserve since August 1998, with responsibilities in the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Previous military positions include Lieutenant Colonel on the Joint Staff, Major in Counterdrug operations, and Captain in the Horn of Africa during Operation Enduring Freedom. In the legal field, Phillip Smith holds the position of Assistant Attorney General in the General Litigation Division for the Texas Attorney General's Office, with prior roles as Special Counsel and Assistant Criminal District Attorney for Gregg County, and as Chief of the Civil Division for Smith County.
