Adam Shaivitz

Adam Shaivitz has an extensive background in media and communications, currently serving as the Media & Communications Officer and Interim Director of Government & Strategic Communications at the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles since February 2012. Prior experience includes roles as Communications Manager at Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Press Secretary for the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, and various positions with the Austin Police Department, including Forensic Multimedia Specialist and Public Information Officer. Adam's career also encompasses significant journalism experience as Executive Producer at News 8 Austin and Florida's News Channel, as well as news production roles at WJBK-TV, WFLA-TV, and WPTV-TV. Adam holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Florida Southern College.
