Janet Pruitt, CPA,CIA,CCUIA,CFIRS, and COSO IC Certified has over 37 years of experience in the field of accounting and auditing. Janet is currently the VP and Head of Internal Audit at TDECU, where they began their role in August 2022. Prior to joining TDECU, they worked as an Audit and Risk Management Consultant at Protiviti from October 2021 to September 2022. Before that, they served as a Senior Audit Manager at USAA from November 2020 to October 2021. Janet also worked as a Senior Audit Consultant at JCW from November 2019 to November 2020. Janet held various positions at Zions Bancorporation from August 2002 to November 2019, including SVP, Operational Risk Manager II and Affiliate Operational Risk Manager, as well as VP Affiliate Bank Audit Manager and Group Audit Manager. Janet started their career at Citibank in February 1989, where they worked as a Supervisor - Financial Audit and Senior Auditor until October 1995. Prior to that, they held roles at Bank of America, including Branch Audit Coordinator and Senior Internal Auditor. Janet began their professional journey as a Staff Auditor at KPMG in January 1985. With their extensive experience and certifications, Janet Pruitt brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their role in internal audit.

Janet Pruitt, CPA, CIA, CCUIA, CFIRS, and COSO IC Certified, completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Houston from 1981 to 1984. Later, they pursued a Certified Fiduciary Investment Risk Specialist certification from Cannon Financial Institute, specializing in Personal Trust, which they obtained in 1999. In 1987, Janet obtained their Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.

Additionally, Janet has acquired various certifications throughout their career. In 1989, they obtained their Series 7 certification from FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) and later, in 1992, they obtained their Series 63 certification from the same institution. In 1995, they gained the designation of Certified Fiduciary Investments Risks Specialist from Cannon Financial Institute. In 2018, Janet earned their COSO Internal Control Certificate from COSO. Janet also holds several LinkedIn certifications, including "Using Questions to Foster Critical Thinking and Curiosity" (obtained in 2019), "Critical Thinking" (obtained in 2020), "Strategic Thinking" (obtained in 2020), "Leading Effectively" (obtained in 2020), "Jodi Glickman on Pitching Yourself" (obtained in 2020), "Jodi Glickman on Make 'Em Love You at Work" (obtained in 2020), and "Conquering the Five Career Derailers" (obtained in 2020).
