Jamie Kwan

Jamie Kwan has extensive experience in education and strategic operations, currently serving as Principal Director of Strategy, Operations, & Reporting at the Texas Education Agency since November 2019, after holding various roles including Director of Assessment Initiatives and Strategy and Operations Manager. Previous experience includes working as a Strategic Planning Analyst at Green Dot Public Schools and as a Visiting Fellow for Education Pioneers. Jamie's teaching background includes a role as a Geometry and Algebra 1 Teacher at Dallas ISD, where significant student achievement was demonstrated with a 97% passing rate on Pre-AP district exams and over 200% growth in STAAR state exam passing rates. An educational journey includes a forthcoming Master’s degree in Public Education Management from Yale University and a Bachelor’s in Marketing from The University of Texas at Austin.
