Cynthia L. Hernandez

Cynthia Hernandez serves as the Vice President for Student Success and Vice President for Student Affairs at Texas State University since January 2021. Previously, Cynthia held various positions at Texas A&M University from September 2001 to January 2022, including Associate Vice President for Student Affairs, Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs, and Special Assistant to the Vice President for Student Affairs, among others. Additionally, Cynthia served as President of the National Orientation Directors Association from October 2010 to December 2013 and as Coordinator of New Student Orientation at Northern Arizona University from March 1998 to August 2001. Cynthia began their career in higher education at Texas A&M University as an Assistant Coordinator for New Student Programs. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science, a Master of Science in Educational Administration, and a PhD in Educational Administration, all from Texas A&M University.
