Howard Williams

Howard Williams is an Associate Professor of Instruction at Texas State University, a position held since August 2014, following seven years as an adjunct lecturer at the same institution. Prior to his academic career, Howard served as Chief of Police for the City of San Marcos from June 2003 to August 2014, after a lengthy tenure with the Austin Police Department, which began in July 1978 as a cadet and concluded in June 2003 as a police commander. Howard holds a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from Texas State University, obtained between 2009 and 2013, and a Master's degree in Criminal Justice from the same institution, completed from 2000 to 2002.
