Matthew Brooks

Matthew Brooks serves as the Associate Vice Provost at Texas State University and has held multiple academic leadership positions, including Assistant Provost and Associate Dean & Professor in the College of Health Professions. In addition, Matthew has extensive experience in managing the Graduate Programs at the School of Health Administration, focusing on Master's degrees in Healthcare Administration and Health Services Research. Prior to academia, Matthew served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army, retiring from Fort Sam Houston as the Deputy Program Director of the Army-Baylor MHA/MBA Program. Matthew's academic qualifications include a PhD in Health Services, Policy & Management from the University of South Carolina, a Master's in Public Health with a concentration in Biostatistics from Virginia Commonwealth University, a Graduate Certificate in Gerontology, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Kennesaw State University.
