Niina Laaksonen

Niina Laaksonen has worked in various roles and organizations in the field of clinical research and pharmaceuticals. Niina is currently employed as a Medical Informatics Analyst at TFS - Clinical Contract Research Organization since March 2021.

Prior to their current position, they completed their doctoral studies in the Drug Research Doctoral Program at the University of Turku from November 2015 to November 2021. During their studies, their main areas of interest were the secondary use of electronic health records for clinical trials and the improvement of patient recruitment in clinical trials.

Before pursuing their PhD, Niina worked at TFS Trial Form Support from September 2017 to October 2021 as a Regulatory Affairs Manager. Niina also held the positions of Unit Manager, Finland, and QC and Training Manager at TFS Trial Form Support from August 2011 to October 2015 and April 2008 to August 2011, respectively.

Additionally, they have worked at Turku Clinical Research Centre as a QA Adviser from 2007 to 2008 and at MedFiles Ltd as a QA Manager from 2001 to 2006.

Niina Laaksonen completed their education history with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Medicine from the University of Turku, which they obtained in 2021. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Biochemistry from the same university between 1994 and 2000. Before their undergraduate studies, from 1991 to 1993, Niina attended Loimaan lukio, although no degree or field of study is specified for this period.
