Thomas Eskay

Director Of Analytical Development at TG Therapeutics

Thomas Eskay has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Thomas started their career as a Postdoctoral Associate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where they conducted mechanistic studies on the thermal decomposition of aromatic carboxylic acids and synthesis of coal model compounds. This research had a significant impact on theories related to coal processing.

Thomas then joined Abbott Laboratories as a Senior Research Scientist, where they provided analytical support for a first-in-man program, including development and validation of methods for drug substance and product release. Thomas also utilized their synthetic chemistry background to synthesize impurities for establishing impurity reference standards.

In 2001, Thomas joined Novartis as a Fellow. Thomas led an analytical team and successfully filed multiple drug product projects with health authorities. Thomas also served as the analytical project lead for two late-phase projects that received approval in the US, EU, and other countries.

From 2017 to 2019, Thomas worked at PTC Therapeutics, Inc. as an Associate Director. Thomas managed analytical activities at contract organizations for commercial and late-stage products. Thomas collaborated with Quality Assurance to resolve analytical quality and compliance issues, and supported Regulatory Affairs with authorship of regulatory documents.

Currently, Thomas holds the position of Director of Analytical Development at TG Therapeutics, Inc. Thomas oversees the development of early and late-stage drug products at multiple contract manufacturing organizations. Thomas'sresponsibilities include managing method development and validation, stability data, setting specifications, and conducting analytical investigations. Thomas also authors analytical drug product sections for Regulatory CMC documents.

Thomas Eskay attended Lehigh University from 1990 to 1995, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Organic Chemistry. Prior to that, they studied at Kean College of NJ, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry.
