Jorge Simão

Jorge Simão is a highly experienced technical manager and software architect currently working at Thales since April 2021, with an extensive background in leading software development initiatives. As the Director/CTO of EInnovator since February 2016, Jorge guides the development of cloud software products and supports IT startups and corporations in cloud evolution. Prior experience includes roles at Pivotal Software, Inc. as a curriculum developer and trainer, where comprehensive training on cloud computing and big data was provided, as well as senior software engineering positions at DZone, Inc., and Glintt, where expertise in Spring Framework and Java development was emphasized. Jorge also contributed to academia as an invited assistant professor at the University of Porto, with a focus on artificial intelligence and cognitive modeling, following a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
