Olivier Genicot

Olivier Genicot is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Vice President and General Counsel of Thales' Global Business Line since January 2014, previously holding the position of Legal Director for Mergers & Acquisitions at Thales Group. Prior to joining Thales, Olivier worked at Fried Frank from August 2004 to December 2013 as Counsel, specializing in a wide array of transactional, commercial, and financial matters, including domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, securities laws, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance. Earlier experience includes working as an Associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, focusing on project finance and corporate restructurings, and as a Summer Associate at Solorzano Corporation, negotiating corporate transactions under NAFTA. Olivier holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a focus on International Business, Trade, and Tax Law, and a Bachelor’s degree in International Economics from UCLA.
