Steven Chase

Steven Chase joined Thames Valley Police in April 1997 as Head of Human Resources and was appointed Director of People in September 2012.

Previously, he had served for over 20 years in the Royal Air Force, reaching the rank of Group Captain. Steven holds a Doctorate in Business Administration and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). He is also President of the CIPD Police Forum. Steven was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in the New Year 2017 Honours List.

Steven's role is to provide professional leadership of all aspects of the People Directorate function with a particular focus on leadership, organizational development, people services, learning and professional development, corporate health and support and health and safety.
