Simon Gupta

Simon Gupta has extensive work experience in tax management and analysis. Simon most recently served as the Head of Tax at Thames Water since October 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Group Head of Tax at hibu (formerly Yell Group plc) for 15 years, from September 2006 to September 2021. Simon also worked as an International Tax Manager at Exel plc from 2000 to 2006 and as a European Tax Analyst at Air Products Plc from 1997 to 2000. Simon began their career as a Tax Manager at Price Waterhouse (now PwC LLP) from 1991 to 1997.

Simon Gupta attended The University of Manchester from 1988 to 1991, where they obtained a BA (Econ) Hons degree in Economics and Social Studies. Simon also holds a certification as a Chartered Accountant from ICAEW, although the specific year of certification is not provided.
