Kenneth T. Katzenberger

In a career spanning over thirty years Mr. Katzenberger’s diverse background in a multitude of disciplines and industries uniquely positions him to bring a wealth of knowledge to advise his client base. He is a Principal with the business growth and process improvement firm Accelerx.

Prior to forming Accelerx, Ken operated a management and information systems consulting firm specializing in strategic Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Business Process Improvement (BPI) implementations and change management utilizing SAP software. In this capacity Ken advised and guided clients in the Fortune 100 as well as small to mid-sized organizations through the solutions evaluation and implementation process. This included but was not limited to aiding in the definition and evaluation of the project(s) scope, objectives and deliverables. In addition to the ERP and BPI initiatives Ken has consulted small businesses/sole proprietorships in general business structure, operations process flow development and optimization. Staying true his roots, Ken continues to maintain his skills with regard to individual tax planning, preparation and estate planning services.

Ken also enjoyed a diverse and rewarding corporate career, being employed with SAP America, and SAP Australia. He was the 34th employee hired by SAP America when they initially entered the North American Market. Not only was he involved in client implementation and application support but played a key role in assisting the parent company, SAP Gmbh, to develop and adapt the software and implementation procedures to support the nuances of the North American market’s business practices. He advanced from client consulting and support, to executive management roles at both SAP America and SAP Australia. In addition to his roles at SAP he worked for Pennwalt (Arkema), Gulf and Western Industries, Commodore Business Machines and Exxon with responsibilities ranging from operations accounting, operational audit to assistant controller plant-accounting.

Ken’s formal education includes an MBA in Finance and BBA in Accounting from Temple University. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, a Certified Pro Advisor for QuickBooks, QuickBooks Point of Sale, QuickBooks Enterprise and holds an ASI Facilitation Certification. Ken has been certified by the Total Quality Institute in Executive Facilitation, Cycle Time Reduction, Variation Reduction and Small Business Process Improvement. Ken is also a certified member of The Institute for Sustainability (www.theinstituteforsustainability.com). As a certified member of the Institute, He proudly joins a handful of selected individuals from across the United States and Canada who have achieved this designation. He is a Member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, National Society of Accountants and American Society of Training and Development. Ken chairs Temple University’s Fox School of Business Alumni Board of Directors Strategic Planning Committee and is also a member of Temple University’s Enterprise Management Consulting Board of Advisors.

As an independent consultant Ken has been involved with many public speaking engagements including the Keynote speaker for SAP America’s “Total Cost of Ownership” Seminar series, PICPA – Philadelphia Youth Network “Mapping out Your Money”, West Chester University “Cycle Time Reduction and Root Cause Analysis” and is a member of the PICPA speaker’s bureau. Ken is available for speaking engagements for groups of all sizes.
