Kara Waters

Director, ELA Content Production at Achievement Network (ANet)

Kara Waters has a diverse work experience in various educational and administrative roles. Kara started their career as an Assistant to the Executive Search Team at The Bridgespan Group in 2008 and worked until 2010. In 2011, Kara joined Friendship Public Charter School as an English Teacher. Kara then moved to Prospect Hill Academy Charter School in 2012 and served as an English Teacher, Master Teacher, and a 10th Grade Team Leader until 2016. Since 2016, they have been working at Achievement Network (ANet) in different positions. Initially, they were an ELA Content Specialist in the Assessment Team, and then they became the Director of ELA Content Production.

Kara Waters received their High School Diploma from Francis W Parker Charter Essential School in 2004. Then, they attended Colby College from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Later on, they pursued further education at the University of Pennsylvania from 2010 to 2011, earning a Master of Science in Education degree with a focus on Secondary Education.
