Matt Mitchell

Matt Mitchell has a long and varied work experience. Matt began their career in 2006 as a Contributing Writer for Player Magazine. In 2007, they became a Wienermobile Spokesperson for OSCAR MAYER FOODS, where they drove the Wienermobile 42,000 miles across 32 states and executed 200+ events. In 2009, they became a Tour Manager for PowerPact, managing the day-to-day activities of a national $1.8 million marketing campaign. From 2011 to 2017, they held three positions at GMR Marketing, including Account Supervisor, Field Supervisor, and Assistant Program Manager. In 2017, they joined WAER as a Contributing Producer, pitching original, feature-length story ideas to the News Director and presenting audio packages for broadcast. In 2018, they became the Creator of The Forgotten Famous, researching, writing, producing and hosting audio documentaries. Matt also held the roles of Director of Audio and Senior Producer at Action Network in 2018.

Matt Mitchell received their Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2007. Matt then went on to receive their Master's degree in Television Radio & Film from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University in 2018.
