Peter K. Smith

Peter K. Smith is a Senior Project Leader at The Aerospace Corporation since July 2018, with prior experience as a Launch Vehicle System Certification specialist at ManTech from March 2014 to June 2018. Smith also held roles at Booz Allen Hamilton from September 2008 to November 2013 as an Associate and Senior Consultant, and worked at the USC Marshall School of Business, earning an MBA from 2006 to 2008. Earlier experience includes serving as a Principal Engineer and Senior Design Engineer at Rolls-Royce, where responsibilities included leading turbine design and BR725 projects from February 2003 to June 2006. Prior to that, Smith was an Engineer/Scientist at The Boeing Company from July 1998 to January 2003, focusing on space simulation and thermal testing. Smith holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, both from the University of Southern California, completing studies in 2001 and 1998, respectively.
