Kyle Ovens has a diverse background in social services and leadership, currently serving as the Program Lead for PBSH at The Alex Community Health Centre since September 2023. Prior experience includes a nearly decade-long tenure at Calgary Drop In & Rehab Centre Society, where roles escalated from Intake Worker to Senior Advisor, Systems, Research, & Impact. Earlier positions include work as an ASW at Calgary Alpha House Society and an intern at PD Frazer Associates, alongside a supervisory role at The Glencoe Golf & Country Club. Educational achievements consist of a Bachelor's Degree in Law and Society and Communications from the University of Calgary, as well as a brief academic stint at The University of British Columbia and The Washington Center.

We know that good health is the complete state of physical, mental, emotional and economic well-being. We cannot enjoy whole health when we are hungry, when we are in chronic pain, when we don’t have a roof over our head, when we feel disconnected from our community, when we are living in poverty. And fixing one of these issues while ignoring the rest is just a band-aid solution. Our health, housing and food programs support our most vulnerable neighbours, tackling tough health and social issues head-on, and our preventative, cost-effective programs save millions in taxpayer dollars by moving people from poverty to stability and from crisis to wellness.
