Benjamin Trott

Ben Trott has served as the Chief Product Officer since December 2018. Prior to joining Maven, Ben helped to found Say Media in 2010, where he served in a variety of leadership roles, including Chief Architect and SVP, Product Development. At Say Media, Ben led the design and architecture for Tempest, Say’s proprietary digital publishing platform (CMS, monetization, membership, video) supporting enterprise media companies like A+E, Active Interest Media, and Maxim. In 2001, Ben started his career in media & technology as the founder of Six Apart, a pioneer in digital publishing. As CTO & founder, Ben designed, architected, and built publishing products (Movable Type, Typepad) used by millions of people worldwide. Ben studied Mathematics, Computer Science, & English at Santa Clara University.
