Irene Vacca is an accomplished professional in the field of scientific communication and research, currently serving as a Scientific Team Lead at Scientific Group since November 2017, with prior roles including Principal Medical Writer, Associate Principal Medical Writer, Senior Medical Writer, and Medical Writer/Editor. Before joining Scientific Group, Irene worked as a Locum Associate Editor for Nature Reviews Microbiology at Springer Nature and held research positions at the University of Leicester and Novartis Vaccines. Irene earned a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna and holds a Laurea magistrale in Pharmaceutical Biotechnologies and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Università degli Studi di Perugia.
