Catherine Tobin

Catherine (Catie) Tobin, PhD, currently serves as a Senior Program Manager for the End Plastic Pollution International Collaborative (EPPIC) at The Aspen Institute. With a strong background in environmental policy and microplastics research, Tobin has held various roles, including Microplastic Research Consultant for Clean Ocean Action and Environmental Policy and Governance Associate at Abt Associates. Prior experience includes leading research and grassroots programs at Clean Ocean Action and serving as a Knauss Marine Policy Fellow at NOAA. Tobin earned a PhD in Environmental Science from the University of Massachusetts Boston, where research focused on the environmental and social dimensions of fiber microparticles. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Quinnipiac University.
