Maitreyi Sistla

Deputy Director, Aspen Tech Policy Hub at The Aspen Institute

Maitreyi (“Mai”) Sistla is the Deputy Director of the Aspen Tech Policy Hub. In her role, she is responsible for day-to-day management of the Hub’s programming.

Mai has experience in a variety of policy areas, including technology, economic, education, and criminal justice policy. Prior to this role, she worked on digital identity and blockchain research to inform policy for the State of California. Previously, she was also a manager at the University of Chicago Crime Lab (a policy research center that generates evidence to inform crime and education policy), a field staffer at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and a researcher at Berkeley’s Center for Effective Global Action. She holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley and a BA in economics from Northwestern University. She is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
