Jay Williams

Jay Williams, CBCP, has extensive work experience in the field of business continuity and disaster recovery. Jay began their career at M&T Bank in 2007, starting as a Senior Planning Specialist and working their way up to Assistant Vice President. In 2015, they were promoted to Vice President and then became the SVP - Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery in August 2018.

In addition to their roles at M&T Bank, Jay also served as the Public Relations Director for the Eastern Great Lakes Chapter of The Association of Continuity Professionals starting in January 2022.

Prior to their time at M&T Bank, Jay worked as a Senior Network Computing Analyst at M&T Bank from 2000 to 2003 and as a Field Engineer at IKON Office Solutions from 1999 to 2000.

Jay Williams, CBCP, received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Administration and Management from the State University of New York College at Potsdam in 1996. Jay also holds a Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from SUNY Empire State College. In 2008, Jay obtained the ITIL v.3 certification from APMG International. In 2009, they obtained the CBCP certification from DRI International. Currently, Jay is pursuing a degree in Business/Managerial Economics from Empire State University, with an expected completion date in 2023.
