Dirk van Schalkwyk

Dirk Van Schalkwyk is an experienced information technology professional with over 20 years in the field, currently serving as the Director of Information Technology at The Aurum Institute since November 2005. In this role, Dirk provides vision and leadership in developing and implementing IT initiatives to enhance business operations. Previous positions include Head of Information Communication Technology and IT Manager at The Aurum Institute, where responsibilities included developing ICT strategy and ensuring streamlined IT operations. Prior to this, Dirk held roles as a Senior Systems Specialist at AngloGold Ashanti and Desktop Support at Dimension Data. Dirk holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Informatics from the University of South Africa, completed in 2014.
