Thobani Ntshiqa

Thobani Ntshiqa is a seasoned professional in the fields of research and public health, currently serving as a Senior Research Manager at The Aurum Institute since October 2016. Thobani also holds the position of Mentor for the Intermediate South African Field Epidemiology Training Program at the African Field Epidemiology Network (AFENET) since November 2021. Previous roles include Clinical Technical Officer at Right to Care and Project Manager at Wits Health Consortium. Thobani's early career featured positions as a Field Epidemiologist with both the South African National Aids Council and the National Institute for Communicable Diseases. Thobani began in the South African Department of Health as a Comserve. Academic qualifications include a Master of Business Administration from Wits Business School, a Master of Public Health in Field Epidemiology from the University of Pretoria, and a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Fort Hare.
