The Baltimore Banner is seeking an experienced leader in visual content to oversee a team of photographers, illustrators, and freelance talent. This role involves crafting engaging visuals in various formats to enrich article experiences and convey stories across multiple platforms. Reporting to the Managing Editor, the Visuals Director will collaborate with editorial, digital, and audience staff to ensure that visuals on the site are optimized and aligned with brand standards.
Candidates should possess a background in journalism leadership, the ability to translate complex topics into compelling visuals, a strong understanding of branding, and a keen awareness of digital and visual trends.
