Jane McGowan

Jane McGowan is a seasoned barrister-at-law with a comprehensive background in criminal law, human rights law, and administrative law at The Law Library since 2012. Jane has been affiliated with The Bar of Northern Ireland since 2019 and is actively involved with the Irish Innocence Project, serving on the Board of Directors and as a Supervising Lawyer since 2010, where responsibilities include investigating alleged miscarriages of justice and training caseworkers. Additionally, Jane is a lecturer at Griffith College Dublin teaching 'Miscarriages of Justice' and 'Evidence' courses, and has previously lectured on criminal practice at The Honorable Society of King's Inns. With extensive teaching experience across various institutions, including Trinity College Dublin and the Sutherland School of Law, Jane has contributed significantly to legal education and advocacy. Academic achievements include advanced degrees and certifications in law, crime scene investigation, and cybersecurity.
