Tom Hartbeck

Social Media Director at The Big 550 KTRS

Tom Hartbeck has a diverse work experience in broadcasting, social media management, and student network development.

Tom started their career in 2013 as the Founder of the Cadet Student Network, a broadcast stream for CBC High School. Tom recruited and managed a team of students and participated in sports broadcasts.

From 2015 to 2019, Tom worked as a Broadcaster for 89.1 The Wood and LUTV at Lindenwood University. Tom called play-by-play and provided color commentary for various sports, both at the university and high school level.

In 2019, they joined KYRO AM 1280 105.3 as a Broadcaster and became the sports department head. Tom also served as the voice of Troy Buchanan High School Basketball and assisted in imaging and commercial production.

Tom's work experience also includes being a Broadcaster at Maryville University of Saint Louis from 2020 to 2021, where they provided their expertise in broadcasting.

Their most recent position is as the Social Media Director at The Big 550 KTRS, one of St. Louis's popular radio stations. In this role, they oversee social media outlets on various platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and the web.

Tom Hartbeck completed a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication with an emphasis in Broadcasting from Lindenwood University between 2015 and 2019. Prior to that, they earned a diploma from CBC High School between 2011 and 2015.
